The Raspberry Pi Camera V2 has a fairly narrow view. If you already own one, you do not need a whole new camera to go wider. Chinneo's IMX219 8MP replacement camera head swaps onto a Camera V2 board in place of its original 62 degree camera.
Important: this product is the camera head only. The Camera V2 board is not included. You need your own Camera V2 board to use it.

Installation
- Installation: peel the backing film and flip the head over, line the connector up with the socket on the Camera V2 board and press down until it clicks, then press the adhesive into place
Compatibility and what is in the box
- Shown on Camera V2 boards connected to a Raspberry Pi 5, a Raspberry Pi 4 and a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W in the product photos
- Recommended: the 120 and 160 degree versions for Raspberry Pi and NVIDIA Jetson Nano
- One IMX219 camera head in the lens version you select
- The Raspberry Pi Camera V2 board and the Raspberry Pi boards shown in the photos are not included
The options
- 120 or 160 degree heads: these are designed so an existing Camera V2 board can be converted to a wide field of view at low cost, and are recommended for Raspberry Pi and NVIDIA Jetson Nano.
- 62.2 degree standard or night vision heads: these replace a damaged original head or change it to a night-vision version.
Each head sits on a short FPC with a 30-pin board-to-board connector and is held in place with adhesive. Disconnect power, unplug the original head from the board connector, plug in the new head, and fix it with the adhesive.
Questions to settle before you order
- How the night vision head differs from the standard head. This is not specified, for example whether the infrared filter is removed.
- The head size of the 62.2 degree versions, which is not given separately.
- Operating system and driver versions.
See the options on the IMX219 replacement head page.
